Female Elven Bard/Rogue/Fighter
I have had many names, but my first and true name, the one my parents favored me with, is Itakari. After I left the comfort of my parents’ house I spent many years training to become a bard. When I passed out of my apprenticeship I was given a lyre and the name Sanna by my first GuildMaster. Seventy years later, I was one of the few that managed to elude the slaughter when the guildhall was betrayed. To escape I fled east, and taking a new name, I hid among the mercenaries of the Black Sword Legion. I traded sonnets and rhyming tunes for bawdy drinking songs and war-chants. In their rough company I learned of war, comradeship, and the limit of your own sword arm. I was severely wounded and by the time I was well enough to rejoin my company the Legion had been destroyed in the Battle of Five Princes during the first wars of Empire. Homeless once again, I wandered, aimless, first North to the cold Wildlands, then west to the Summits of the World. It was there that I was christened DoomSinger by Nmuleth the Silver of the Winds Teeth Mountains. A fearful burden that has brought me grief almost beyond bearing, and exultation beyond measure.
I was born an elf of the Gilded Range nearly seven thousand years ago, and much of what the humans call myth, I have seen as a shared history. Perhaps not shared on this plane of existence, but as any experienced Planeswalker will tell you, “A new life is but a single step away.”
